Extended Grace

Hebrews 4:16

"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

When I think of how gracious God has been to me, it makes me emotional. All the things we do on a daily that doesn't please God. All the instructions we fail to complete, all the frustrations we let harden our hearts. God's grace continues to be sufficient. The word sufficient means -- enough, adequate. That means that the sufficiency of God's grace is clearly all we need to get through challenging times. It covers us. It gives us confidence knowing that God loves us and cares for us deeply. No matter what.

I woke up this morning and had the word "grace" on my mind. But then God spoke to me and added the word "extended". So i'm thinking to myself okay I know what grace is. I know that it is sufficient meaning I know that God's grace is enough but what does "extended grace" mean? God began to speak to me and tell me that his people have been suffering. We've begun to doubt him in this season. We've begun to doubt him in our situation. We are all walking into new territory and haven't been navigating through it properly. He said that the grace has been extended. I'm like Dang God! You've outdone yourself. God sees our pain. He sees what we've been going through but the mer fact that he wants to extend his grace in this time speaks volumes to me.

If God extends his grace, does that mean he is giving us more chances to come before him and repent? Does that mean that he is giving us more time to get ourselves together? Does that mean he wants us to wait on the blessing a little bit longer? My God! If God's grace is enough and adequate, that tells us that he understands the fight we are in. He understands the pressure we've been under. He understands the weight we've been carrying but the fact that he wants to extend his grace to us makes me want to praise him even more. God you know I'm a mess right now. But you still love me? You don't fault me for it? You won't shame me or punish me for it? God is so good. This shows how merciful he is.

We should give God all the glory and the honor for this one right here yall!
